All India Station masters Organised Annual General meeting

In this meeting, there was a demand to fill up vacant posts in all the branches of Tiruchirappalli Railway Division without any delay by GDCE or LDCE exam.

Senior leaders present on the occasion said that the role of station master is important in rail operation. From the point of view of security, the station master should work in co-ordination. Also, after taking information about all the problems of the station master, the senior officer should be informed. Along with teaching the rights and duties of the station master, their problems should be solved jointly. For the strength of the organization, the station master needs to come on one platform.

Reflecting on the problems in this meeting, he said that due to the vacant posts of Station Master, it is impossible to do the work of supervisory along with the duty of train operation at major stations.

The House demanded to restore the SS Supervisories at TP, SRGM, LLI, ICG, NCR, NGT, TTP, CDM, CUPJ, TDPR, TNM, VLR since the post were provided on basis of the importance of stations like, Loading/Unloding of parcels, Goods traffic, Tourist/Temple visits, Civic Head-Quarters, etc.

In this meeting, it was decided that 100% of all station masters should be involved in the strike to be held on May 31, even if they have to take a day off.

In this annual meeting, Divisional President Shri K. Marimuthu SS Ponmalai, Divisional Secretary Venkatesan and Divisional Finance Secretary Thanjavur's SS Richard Wooleridge were elected.

Retired station superintendents present in the meeting said in their statement that it is a matter of greatest pride to retire after doing good work in government service. He said that the affection and love received by all the railway employees in the line of duty can never be forgotten. Retired station managers M. Ramani, R. Ravikumar, R. Balasubramian were present on the occasion.
